Payment cuts don't just affect cardiologists. They affect patients as well. Their access to care as well as the quality of their care will be potentially compromised.
Many patients have already been asking their physicians what health care reform and payments cuts will mean to them. We need our patients to tell their Representatives and Senators that they want their cardiovascular health protected.
Here are some fliers for you to print for your office to alert your patients to talk to you. There is also a sample letter that your patient can use to write their Representative and Senators.
Talk to your patients. Explain what CMS is doing and how it will affect your practice. Ask them to advocate for the quality cardiovascular care they want and deserve.
We may take the cuts, but they'll feel the pain.
Remember: It's about the Patients! And, they deserve better.
